CNC Machinist

Job Description: CNC Programmer cum Operator (Turning & VMC)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer cum Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is a hybrid position requiring technical expertise in both CNC Turning (Lathe) and Vertical Machining Centers (VMC).

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end production process, from interpreting technical drawings and writing programs to setting up the machines and ensuring high-quality finished components.

Key Responsibilities

 * Programming: Develop and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code. Experience with CAM software (like Mastercam, Delcam, or Fusion 360) is highly preferred.

 * Setup: Select the correct cutting tools, fixtures, and offsets. Perform machine setups for new jobs on both Turning and VMC machines.

 * Operation: Run production batches, monitoring the machining process to ensure parts meet dimensional specifications.

 * Quality Control: Use precision measuring instruments (Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to inspect first-off and production parts.

 * Maintenance: Perform routine daily maintenance on machines to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

 * Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC Turning and VMC programming/operation.

 * Blueprints: Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols.

 * Tooling: Deep understanding of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, and material properties (e.g., Steel, Aluminum, Brass).

 * Controllers: Proficiency in common controllers such as Fanuc, Siemens .
