EY- Assurance – Staff - FAAS – Stat Reporting

 

As part of our EY-Assurance Team, the Staff will be responsible for working closely with FAAS Managers on clients and engagements across Americas and EMEIA to provide end to end services pertaining to Statutory reporting and compliance.

 

The opportunity

 

We’re looking for incumbents who is responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per Project requirements for our FAAS team and possess strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge. The role requires prior experience and knowledge of financial reporting activities.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

• Assisting in Managing engagement delivery Financial Accounting and Reporting
• Understanding of the reporting requirements relevant to the countries allocated (specific focus on UK based companies), as allocated to your team
• Receive direction from the Manager and Senior Manager
• Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing Supervisors of engagement status
• Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing of
• deliverables and reports
• Demonstrate a good understanding of accounting concepts; stay informed of professional standards and firm policies (e.g., guidelines of the EY FAAS Policy Manual); and effectively apply this knowledge to moderately difficult and/or complex client situation

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

• Good knowledge of IFRS or US GAAP, UK GAAP etc
• Relevant experience in the following areas
• Financial statement preparation
• Drafting accounting policies

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

CA Inter/pursuing, ACCA Qualified/pursuing with B.com Pass/ (H), M. Com/MBA qualified

0.5-2 years of relevant experience including articleship in Reporting

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

• Proficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office.
• Knowledge on any Financial statements preparation/reporting tools (Case ware, One source, DFIN, Workiva) will be additional advantage.
• Flexibility and adaptability, as necessary
• Strong communication, Interpersonal, Analytical Skills & highly proactive in approach
