Inviting applications for the role of Management Trainee, Record to Report
In this role, candidate should have the knowledge of Revenue Accounting and ensure all monthly closing and reporting activities are carried out as per guidelines and deadlines
Responsibilities
Knowledge of all policies related to Revenue Accounting.
Ensure tasks are completed in line with policy and any concerns are raised to management.
Ensure all monthly closing and reporting activities are carried out as per guidelines and deadlines.
Perform system integrity checks including ledger balancing activities and Point of Sale system interface, using mass data files where possible.
Follow up on discrepancies with hotel operations teams.
Process any adjusting journal entries (reclasses) required via OA Mass Upload functionality, using double entry bookkeeping.
Monitor and report on hotel compliance for rate & rate override procedures.
Prepare and submit accurate stock take reports to support hotel teams with inventory control and reconciliation.
Prepare timely reports, delivering to the HAFS Glasgow RA Team, to enable the analytical assessment of property-related risk areas. (i.e. populating routing packs)
Extract covers data (statistical) and apply to checks to validate if volumes look reasonable, collaborating with Food & Beverage teams where required.
Proactive management of team templates, ensuring strong controls in place to validate completeness & accuracy of large volume dataset.
Review high volumes of data with advanced models, approving various adjustments using OA workflow.
Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring end-to-end process is clearly documented.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Post Graduation (CA/CMA/MBA)
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Thorough knowledge of revenue accounting
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Experience with accounting software, like People Soft, Blackline etc
Computer literacy, MS Excel in particular (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables)
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Strong time management skills
Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
