Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with hands-on experience in investment casting, coil slitting, and CNC manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and supporting manufacturing operations while ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 quality standards. Experience with Tranzact ERP software is strongly preferred.

• Provide engineering support for investment casting processes and casting quality improvements.
• Oversee and optimize coil slitting operations, ensuring precision, efficiency, and safety in material processing.
• Support CNC machining processes, including programming knowledge (G-code familiarity), tooling selection, fixture design, setup optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and improve manufacturing workflows, SOPs, and process documentation.
• Use Tranzact ERP software to manage production routing, material planning, work orders, and process controls.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, reduce scrap, and enhance product quality.
• Collaborate with Quality Management to maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including participation in audits and corrective actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for manufacturing issues.
• Work cross-functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams.
• Support new product introductions (NPI), including tooling, process validation, and trial runs.
• QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Direct experience with investment casting processes is required.
• Experience with coil slitting operations and knowledge of metal material behavior.
• Strong background in CNC machining, including understanding of programming, tooling, and process optimization.
• Proficiency with Tranzact ERP or similar manufacturing ERP systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and standard operating procedures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis methodologies (5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, etc.).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and project management skills.
• Preferred SkillsCAD/CAM experience (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.).
• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training/certification.
• Experience with process automation or equipment upgrades.
• Knowledge of metallurgy or foundry operations (a plus).
