 Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant – Data Ingestion lead 

In this role, you will be responsible designs, builds, and manages pipelines to move data from sources to storage, focusing on performance, reliability, and quality, collaborating with teams, selecting tools and optimizing processes, ensuring security/compliance, and handling incidents, with key duties including strategy, development, monitoring, and stakeholder communication for efficient data flow. 
 

Key Responsibilities 

• Pipeline Design & Development Support: Create/Support, maintain, and optimize robust, scalable, and secure data ingestion pipelines (both batch and real-time/streaming). 

• Architectural Strategy: Lead the definition of conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support data integration from disparate sources. 

• Data Quality & Governance: Establish data validation checks (accuracy, consistency) and implement data quality standards during the ingestion process. 

• Technology Stack Ownership: Manage and evolve the technical stack, including ETL/ELT tools, cloud-based ingestion services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Databricks, AWS Glue), and CDC (Change Data Capture) mechanisms. 

• Technical Leadership & Mentoring: Guide and mentor data engineers, providing technical guidance for complex data integration projects. 

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with data architects, data scientists, and business analysts to understand data requirements and align with enterprise data strategies.  

Qualifications we seek in you! 

Minimum Qualifications / Skills 

• BE/B.TECH 

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills 

• Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, AWS, Databricks. 

• Cloud Platforms: Experience with Azure/AWS, for data storage and processing. 

• ETL/ELT Tools: Experience with tools like Talend, Informatica, or Kafka Connect. 

• Data Modeling: Solid understanding of relational databases and modern data warehouse design. 

• Leadership Skills: Proven experience in a lead or senior role, managing team performance and project delivery.

• Reduction in data ingestion latency (time from source to warehouse). 

• Increase in data pipeline reliability and automation (DataOps).
