Experience 10–15 years (Dal / Pulses / Rice / Flour / Food Processing industry preferred)

• Qualification B. E / B.Tech (Mechanical / Electrical / Production)
• Diploma with strong hands-on plant management experience

Job Summary

The Site Manager will be responsible for end-to-end operations of the dal processing plant, ensuring smooth production, quality compliance, maintenance, manpower management, safety, and cost control. The role requires strong technical knowledge of dal milling processes and proven leadership experience.

• Key Responsibilities

• Plant Operations Oversee complete dal processing operations (cleaning, grading, pitting, milling, polishing, packing).
• Ensure daily production targets are met with optimum efficiency.
• Monitor plant performance, downtime, and productivity improvements.
• Maintenance & Engineering Plan and supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams to minimize downtime.
• Ensure availability of critical spares and consumables.
• Quality & Compliance Ensure product quality as per company standards and FSSAI norms.
• Implement SOPs for hygiene, food safety, and quality control.
• Handle internal and external audits.
• Manpower Management Manage operators, supervisors, technicians, and contract labour.
• Prepare duty rosters, training plans, and performance evaluations.
• Maintain discipline and high safety standards on the shop floor.
• Safety & Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance with safety regulations, labour laws, and statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular safety drills and toolbox talks.
• Maintain records related to EHS and statutory inspections.
• Cost & Inventory Control production costs, power consumption, and material wastage.
• Manage raw material, packing material, and finished goods inventory.
• Coordinate with purchase and stores teams.
• Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with Head Office, QA, Purchase, and Logistics teams.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production & maintenance reports.
• Support management in capacity expansion and new project execution.
• Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of dal milling machinery and processes
• Leadership and people management skills
• Problem-solving and decision-making ability
• Knowledge of FSSAI, food safety, and GMP
• Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Preferred Background Experience in Dal / Pulses / Rice / Food Processing Plants
• Experience handling medium to large-scale plants
