Safety Officer

Responsibilities and Duties: 

1. To verify and suggest the effectiveness of action taken or to be taken to prevent personal injuries. 
2. Hazard identification, risk assessment and monitor/review of control measures for all activities. 
3. Safety walks down with all concerned department incharge and recommend for safe work procedure to prevent personal injury. 
4. Attending/conducting daily/weekly/monthly safety meetings with client/functional head/contractors to educate/aware about organization’s safety culture. 
5. Organize campaigns, competitions, contests and other safety promotional activities to develop and motivate to staff/workmen/contractors to follow and maintain organization’s safety culture. 
6. Conducting safety training for staff/workmen/contractors/visitors and safety induction training to all new entrants. 
7. Incident investigation & reporting. Suggesting Corrective &Preventive actions. 
8. To implement/monitor the EHS management systems &safe practices to achieve the goal of ‘ZERO ACCIDENT'. 
9. Evaluating legal compliances and ensuring applicable legal and other requirements are fulfilled. 
10. Conducting mock drill, emergency response/rescue operation and traffic management according to emergency response plan. 
11. Developing Safety Policies: Crafting and implementing policies and safe operating procedures that ensure a safe working environment. 
12. Compliance Management: Ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations. 
13. Emergency Response Planning: Creating and maintaining emergency response plans for various potential incidents and Quarterly Mock Drill conducting. 
14. Conducting training sessions for employees on safety practices and promoting a culture of safety awareness. 
15. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigating workplace incidents or accidents and reporting findings to appropriate parties. 
16. Environmental Management: Implementing strategies for waste management, pollution control, and sustainable practices. 

Qualifications: 

1. Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS/PDIS) 
2. BSC(Chemistry/Chemical) 
3. ISO Standard Certificate (ISO45001, ISO14001).
