Job Description – Sales Executive / Sales Officer (FMCG – Food Products)

Location: Calicut (Kozhikode), Kerala

Industry: FMCG / Food Products (Staples, Branded & Unbranded)

Experience: 3–4 years (minimum)

Age Preference: Below 35 years

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Executive from the FMCG / food products industry to drive market penetration, distribution expansion, and sales growth in the Calicut market. The role requires strong relationships with distributors, supermarkets, hypermarkets, and retail outlets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and expand sales for food products in Calicut and nearby markets

• Appoint, manage, and coordinate with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers

• Ensure product availability, visibility, and proper shelf placement across outlets

• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets

• Execute market visits, outlet coverage, and order collection on a regular basis

• Monitor competitor activity, pricing, schemes, and market trends

• Coordinate with internal teams on supply planning and demand forecasting

• Support new product launches and promotional activities

• Ensure timely collection of payments as per company policy

Desired Candidate Profile

• 3–4 years of proven sales experience in FMCG / food products industry

• Strong understanding of Calicut retail, supermarket, and distributor network

• Experience dealing with staples, grocery, or packaged food categories preferred

• Good communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

• Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in any discipline
