Job Description
- Key Responsibilities
- Core Accounting Functions
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and update daily accounting entries including sales, purchases, expenses, and bank transactions.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Monitor vendor payments and track aging reports to ensure timely collections from clients.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) and resolve any discrepancies.
- Finalization of Accounts: Assist in the preparation of Trial Balances, Profit & Loss Statements, and Balance Sheets at the end of the financial year.
- Fixed Asset Management: Maintain a fixed asset register and calculate depreciation as per relevant laws.
- Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- GST Compliance: Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly returns (GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B). Performing ITC reconciliations between GSTR-2B and books.
- TDS/TCS: Calculation of TDS on payments, timely deposit of challans, and filing of quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q).
- Income Tax: Preparing data for Advance Tax calculations and assisting in the filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR).
- Statutory Audits: Preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation for internal and external auditors.
- Payroll Compliance: Ensuring timely payment and filing of PF (Provident Fund), ESI, and Professional Tax.
