Job Description

Hiring: Area Sales Manager (ASM) – Uttar Pradesh


Location: Lucknow / UP Region

Industry: FMCG – Spices / Dry Fruits / Packaged Foods

Experience: Minimum 5+ Years


Key Responsibilities


Sales & Distribution Expansion


Develop and expand General Trade distribution network across UP.


Drive market penetration up to Tehsil / Block level through distributors and field team.


Appoint and manage distributors / super stockists in key markets.


Ensure product availability, visibility, and secondary sales growth.


Team Leadership


Lead and manage Sales Officers / TSEs / Field Executives.


Conduct joint market visits and strengthen market coverage.


Build a high-performance field sales culture.


Market Development


Expand retail reach in wholesale markets, kirana stores, and local trade channels.


Execute product launches, schemes, and market activations.


Track competitor activity and identify growth opportunities.


Distributor Management


Maintain strong relationships with distributors and key wholesalers.


Ensure healthy billing, stock rotation, and market coverage.


Preferred Candidate Background


Candidates must have minimum 5 years experience in companies dealing in:


Spices brands


Dry Fruits / Premium Food Products


Packaged FMCG Products


Tea / Pan Masala / Cigarette


Regional Namkeen / Local Food Brands


Strong General Trade distribution network businesses



Required Skills & Experience


✔ Strong experience in FMCG distribution handling and market development

✔ Experience in team handling (Sales Officers / TSEs)

✔ Proven ability to develop markets at Tehsil / Block level

✔ Good network with distributors and trade partners in UPE region

✔ Excellent negotiation, leadership, and sales planning skills

✔ Strong understanding of General Trade FMCG sales structure
