Sales Executive Job Description

 

 

Our growing company is seeking to hire a Sales Executive who will be responsible for supervising and organizing our sales team. You will be in charge of managing organizational sales by developing business plans, meeting planned goals, and coordinating with our marketing department on lead generation. You will also be tasked with overseeing the activities and performance of your sales team by tracking sales goals, setting individual sales targets, and facilitate the ongoing training of your salespeople.

 

Sales Executives' primary responsibility is to sell an organizations services and products, perpetually finding unique ways to engage and increase audience size and clients. The Sales Executive might be responsible for managing clients at a local, regional or national level, or he may be allocated a particular section of the market or client base. Every Sales Executive job description should focus on the importance of excellent communication and presentation skills, self-motivation and ask for candidates with a history of success.

 

Sales Executive Responsibilities:

· Managing organizational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue and expense controls.

· Meeting planned sales goals.

· Setting individual sales targets with the sales team.

· Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary.

· Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team.

· Coordinating with marketing on lead generation.

· Forecast sales, develop “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness

· Evaluate customers skills, needs and build productive long lasting relationships

· Meet personal and team sales targets

· Research accounts and generate or follow through sales leads

· Attend meeting, sales events and training to keep abreast of the latest developments

· Report and provide feedback to management using financial statistical data

· Maintain and expand client database within your assigned territory

· Completed monthly targets without fail.

 

Sales Executive Requirements:

· 10+2, Diploma, Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.

· Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.

· Experience in customer relationship management.

· Experience managing and directing a sales team.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Dedication to providing great customer service.

· Ability to lead a sale team.

It’s not essential for a Sales Executive to hold a formal qualification, and experience in similar roles or the industry are considered of great value. If candidates do hold degrees, they typically come from the below fields:
