Assistant Manager – Government Relations

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager – Government Relations. The role requires excellent communication, stakeholder management, and policy understanding to effectively engage with government authorities, regulators, and industry bodies. The candidate should bring 3–5 years of relevant experience and a strong ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships that support the organization’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

•Engage with government departments, regulators, and industry associations to represent organizational interests.

•Monitor policy and regulatory developments impacting the organization and prepare timely reports/updates.

•Support senior management in advocacy initiatives and policy discussions.

•Coordinate meetings, consultations, and events with government stakeholders and industry bodies.

•Draft communication materials including policy briefs, presentations, and official correspondence.

•Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams to align government relations strategies with organizational goals.

•Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and government engagement protocols.

Qualifications and Experience

•Graduate/Postgraduate in Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Business Administration, or related fields.

•3–5 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or regulatory engagement.

•Strong understanding of government structures, policy-making processes, and regulatory environment.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of regional languages is an added advantage.

•Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and build collaborative relationships.

•Strong analytical skills with ability to prepare concise reports and policy notes.

•High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential information.
