Job Title: AutoCAD Draftsman – Commercial Kitchen Layouts and Isometric Drawings

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for creating accurate 2D layouts and 3D isometric drawings for commercial kitchen projects. You will work closely with project managers, kitchen designers, and architects to develop efficient kitchen layouts that comply with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for commercial kitchen layouts, including equipment placement, workstations, and utilities.

Develop 3D isometric drawings to visually represent kitchen designs.

Ensure drawings are compliant with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to incorporate client requirements and feedback into the drawings.

Review and revise drawings based on site conditions and project requirements.

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure accurate dimensions and specifications of kitchen equipment.

Assist in preparing as-built drawings upon project completion.

Maintain an organized library of AutoCAD files and project documentation.

Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in kitchen design and drafting.

Requirements:

Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D).

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in drafting for commercial kitchen projects or a related field.

Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and layout design.

Familiarity with local building codes, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical requirements in commercial kitchens.

Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering plans.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Revit, SketchUp, or other design software is a plus.

Understanding of kitchen ergonomics and workflow optimization.

Certification or diploma in

AutoCAD drafting, architecture, or a related field.
