Backend Developer

We are seeking a motivated Laravel Backend Developer with 1–2 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Laravel, MySQL, and core backend engineering concepts, along with a solid understanding of low-level system design, data integrity, and API-driven architectures.

You will work on building robust backend services that support complex workflows, high-volume transactions, and reliable data processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Laravel
• Build and manage RESTful APIs with proper validation, authentication, and authorization
• Design and optimize MySQL databases, including schemas, queries, indexing, and migrations
• Implement secure data handling, input validation, and structured error handling
• Work on transaction-based systems ensuring consistency, reliability, and fault tolerance
• Implement and manage background jobs, queues, and cron-based processes
• Apply low-level system design principles, including:
• Request lifecycle management
• Data flow and processing
• Caching strategies
• Concurrency handling
• Failure recovery mechanisms
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and stability
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams
• Debug production issues and implement long-term, scalable fixes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical SkillsStrong proficiency in Laravel (1–2 years of hands-on experience)
• Solid understanding of PHP and Laravel internals
• Strong experience with MySQL, including:
• Complex queries
• Indexing strategies
• Transactions
• Database normalization and optimization
• Good understanding of REST APIs and JSON-based communication
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms
• Understanding of server-side security best practices
• Experience with queues, jobs, and background processing
• Familiarity with Git / version control systems
