Job Title: Business Development Manager – Sales

Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager – Sales will be responsible for driving the growth of the company by identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and closing sales deals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B or B2C sales, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in assigned territories.
  • Generate leads through cold calling, networking, and field visits.
  • Pitch solar energy solutions to potential clients – residential, commercial, and industrial.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and sales activities.
  • Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, and other promotional events.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in sales, preferably in solar or renewable energy.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer-centric approach.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience in solar product sales (rooftop solar, solar panels, inverters, etc.).
  • Knowledge of solar policies, subsidies, and net metering.
