Cashier

The Cashier is responsible for handling all billing and payment-related activities at the store while ensuring a smooth and professional checkout experience for customers. The role includes accurately processing cash, UPI, card, and other digital transactions through the POS system, generating bills and invoices, and ensuring correct pricing, discounts, and tax calculations as per company policy. The cashier must maintain the cash register, verify cash at the beginning and end of each shift, prepare daily cash reports, and promptly report any discrepancies or system issues to the management. In addition, the cashier is expected to handle basic customer billing queries courteously, maintain cleanliness and organization at the cash counter, coordinate with store staff regarding pricing or product-related concerns, and strictly follow company policies related to billing, refunds, exchanges, and data confidentiality. The role requires basic computer knowledge, strong numerical accuracy, good communication skills, and a high level of honesty and responsibility.
