Job Title: Continental Chef

Location: Tango’s Café

Department: Kitchen Operations

Reports To: Head Chef / Café Manager

Job SummaryTango’s Café is looking for a skilled and passionate Continental Chef responsible for preparing high-quality continental dishes while maintaining consistency, hygiene, and presentation standards. The role requires creativity, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced café environment to deliver an excellent dining experience.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and present continental cuisine in accordance with the café’s menu and quality standards.
  • Develop new recipes and contribute to menu innovation and seasonal specials.
  • Ensure proper food preparation, portion control, and plating standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management and ordering.
  • Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control practices.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely service.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all dishes.
  • RequirementsProven experience as a Continental Chef or similar role in a café or restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of continental cooking techniques, sauces, and presentation styles.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time efficiently.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Culinary diploma or relevant certification preferred.
