Job Description
Job Title: Design & Development Manager
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
3–6 years experience in Product Design, Research & Development, or Manufacturing.
Technical Skills
Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Experience with FEA software like Ansys or Abaqus.
Understanding of mould design, material selection, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of machine design and mechanisms.
Quality & Process Knowledge
Understanding of DFMEA, FMEA, PPAP, APQP, and ISO documentation.
Knowledge of quality inspection methods and measuring tools.
Key Responsibilities
New Product Development (NPD): Design and develop new products and conduct testing.
Trials & Testing: Perform trials for new moulds and products.
Coordination: Work with mold makers, factory production teams, and head office.
Product Improvement: Improve existing product quality and upgrade designs.
Documentation & Compliance: Prepare technical and feasibility reports and ensure ISO standards.
