Housekeeping Staff

1. Basic Eligibility

• Age: 18 years and above
• Education: Minimum 8th–10th standard (not mandatory if trained)
• Experience: Prior experience in cleaning, domestic help, or hospitality is preferred but not required
• Health: Physically fit and healthy; no chronic contagious diseases

2. Key Skills

• Cleaning & Maintenance: Ability to clean rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, and floors using appropriate tools and materials
• Organization: Keeping household items and spaces neat, labeling supplies, arranging closets, etc.
• Laundry Management: Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes properly
• Basic Cooking/Assistance: Ability to prepare or assist with basic meals, if required
• Waste Management: Proper disposal of household waste and recyclables
• Attention to Detail: Identifying and reporting maintenance needs or damages
• Time Management: Completing tasks efficiently and following a daily schedule

3. Personal Qualities

• Honesty & Reliability: Trustworthy and punctual
• Hygiene Awareness: Maintains personal and workplace hygiene
• Polite Behavior: Respectful communication with residents and other staff
• Discretion: Maintains confidentiality of household matters
• Adaptability: Willing to learn new cleaning methods or use new equipment

4. Technical & Safety Knowledge

• Understanding safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Knowledge of fabric and surface types (for cleaning/dusting)
• Awareness of basic fire safety and first aid

5. Work Environment

• Type: Residential homes, guest houses, small offices
• Schedule: Full-time / part-time / live-in options
• Work Hours: Typically 6–8 hours daily; may include weekends if required

6. Preferred Training (Optional but Beneficial)

• Certified housekeeping or domestic work training (from NGO or Skill India programs)
• Soft-skills or customer service training
• Basic English or local language communication
