Kitchen Assistant

Overview

This position supports training sessions and recipe video shoots by preparing ingredients in advance and assisting with kitchen setup. The focus is on efficient, hygienic, and standardized preparation of vegetables and other ingredients in line with professional kitchen practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, cut, and chop vegetables and other ingredients as per recipe requirements
• Assist chefs and instructors during cooking sessions by ensuring ingredients are prepared and available on time
• Follow standardized portion sizes and cutting styles to ensure consistency across recipes
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the training kitchen, workstations, and tools
• Handle ingredients safely while minimizing waste
• Support setup and cleanup before and after filming and cooking sessions
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and institutional SOPs

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Prior experience working in a restaurant, cloud kitchen, hotel kitchen, or professional food preparation environment
• Knowledge of basic knife skills and vegetable cuts
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing kitchen tasks

Preferred:

• Culinary school or hotel management background
• Experience with large-batch or instructional cooking environments
