Phlebotomist

A certified Phlebotomist responsible for safely collecting, labeling, and processing blood specimens via venipuncture and capillary sticks, ensuring 100% patient identification accuracy. Skilled in minimizing discomfort, maintaining strict infection control (OSHA/CLSI standards), and managing laboratory data systems. Proven ability to handle high-volume patient loads (e.g., 50+ daily) while maintaining compassionate care and specimen integrity, also capable of home collection and bringing in patient volume, doing lab promotions.

• Specimen Collection: Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks on diverse patient populations, achieving high first-attempt success rates.
• Patient Care: Explain blood-drawing procedures, alleviate patient anxiety, and verify patient identity (name/DOB) to ensure safety and comfort.
• Lab Procedures: Process, label, centrifuge, and store specimens accurately, adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Data Management: Enter patient information, test orders, and collection times into Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Safety Compliance: Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas, and follow all health and safety regulations to prevent contamination.
