Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • GeM Portal Management: Register, manage, and update company profiles, product listings, and catalogs on the GeM portal.
  • Tender Identification & Analysis: Actively search for relevant tenders (both GeM and non-GeM/e-Procurement portals), analyze tender documents, and evaluate eligibility (technical/financial).
  • Bid Preparation & Submission: Prepare, scan, and upload technical and financial bids (BOQs), manage earnest money deposits (EMD), and handle Pre-Qualification (PQ) documents.
  • Auction Participation: Monitor, participate, and navigate reverse auctions (RA) and Bunch Bids on the GeM portal.
  • Liaison & Follow-up: Coordinate with internal departments (sales, finance, technical) to gather necessary documentation and liaise with government officials.
  • Post-Bid Activity: Track tender results, manage order processing, ensure compliance, and handle post-award documentation. 

Required Skills & Competencies

  • GeM Expertise: Deep understanding of GeM procedures, including bidding, RA processes, and compliance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (for price bid calculation), Word, and PDF tools.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Strong communication skills to interact with government buyers and negotiate contracts.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail to avoid disqualification due to documentation errors.
  • Product Knowledge: Ability to understand technical specifications of products to match them with tender requirements. 

Candidate Profile & Experience

  • Experience: Typically 2–6 years of experience in government tender management, specifically using the GeM portal.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in any stream (often required).
  • Background: Experience in B2G (Business to Government) sales, manufacturing, or IT sales is preferred.
  • Location: Often requires local candidates familiar with regional government departments.
