Procurement Manager

Role Overview

We are seeking a Procurement Expert to manage end-to-end procurement for construction and design projects. The role requires strong vendor management, cost optimization, contract understanding, and coordination with design, project, and execution teams to ensure timely and cost-effective material and service procurement.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

• Plan and execute procurement strategies for construction materials, services, equipment, and subcontracting
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and onboard vendors, suppliers, and contractors
• Ensure procurement aligns with project timelines, specifications, and budgets

Cost Control & Optimization

• Conduct rate analysis, BOQ-based procurement, and cost benchmarking
• Negotiate best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules without compromising quality
• Track market trends, price fluctuations, and availability of materials

Vendor & Contract Management

• Maintain strong relationships with approved vendors and suppliers
• Draft, review, and manage purchase orders, contracts, and work orders
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, warranties, and statutory requirements

Coordination & Execution

• Work closely with design, planning, billing, and site execution teams
• Ensure timely material delivery at site and resolve supply chain issues proactively
• Monitor material quality, specifications, and approvals as per drawings and standards

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, comparative statements, and approvals
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, audits, and project documentation standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, or related field
• 5–12 years of procurement experience in construction / infrastructure / real estate
• Strong understanding of construction materials, specifications, BOQs, and contracts
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tight timelines

Preferred Experience

• Experience in design-driven or urban projects
• Exposure to government / PSU / large-scale infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with GST, statutory compliances, and vendor taxation
