Qs & Billing Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Quantity Surveying & Costing:
• Reviewing architectural/design plans and GFC (Good For Construction) drawings.
• Performing quantity take-offs and preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ).
• Estimating material, labor, and equipment costs for bidding and project execution.
• Billing & Payments:
• Preparing and certifying interim (RA), advance, cash, and final bills for clients and subcontractors.
• Taking site measurements and certifying contractor bills/invoices.
• Processing subcontractor bills and managing payments.
• Material & Cost Control:
• Reconciling material inward/stock with theoretical consumption, identifying excess usage.
• Working on project cash outflow and material reconciliation.
• Preparing reconciliation statements and documentation for material test certificates.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Maintaining all billing records and entering data accurately.
• Ensuring compliance with IS codes (Indian Standards) and contractual terms.
• Following up with accounts for payments and providing billing info to clients. 

Key Skills & Tools

• Strong analytical, mathematical, and financial skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
• Excellent communication for coordinating with site engineers, clients, and accounts.
• Understanding of construction drawings and technical documents.
