Job Title: Laundry Store Manager

Job Summary

The Laundry Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laundry facility, ensuring high standards of hygiene, efficiency, and timely service delivery. The role involves managing staff, monitoring equipment and supplies, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Manager will coordinate with internal hotel departments and external clients to deliver consistent, high-quality laundry services while optimizing operational costs and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations Management
• Supervise sorting, washing, drying, folding, ironing, and finishing of linen, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Ensure adherence to hygiene and quality standards across all laundry processes.
• Plan and implement effective scheduling and workflows to maximize output and reduce turnaround time.
• Monitor equipment performance, coordinate preventive maintenance, and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines.

• Inventory & Resource Control
• Maintain accurate records of linen stock, chemicals, and laundry supplies.
• Conduct periodic stock checks and order supplies to prevent shortages.
• Optimize chemical and detergent usage to ensure cost-effectiveness and reduce wastage.

• Staff Management
• Recruit, train, and manage laundry staff.
• Create work schedules, assign duties, and monitor team efficiency.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for skill development.
• Maintain staff discipline and positive morale.

• Customer Service & Communication
• Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, and other departments to ensure timely guest laundry services.
• Manage client requests and handle complaints professionally.
• Maintain excellent communication with internal teams and external clients for smooth operations.

• Reporting & Administration
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on laundry output, operating costs, and key issues.
• Track KPIs such as turnaround time, damaged/missing items, and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.

• Key Skills & Qualifications
• Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management, Operations Management, or related field.
• Certification in laundry/textile care management is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in laundry operations (hospitality or commercial preferred).
• Proven supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of laundry machinery, textile care, and chemicals.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting tools, and inventory systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
