Tally Operator

A Tally accounting job mainly involves managing day-to-day financial transactions and records using Tally ERP software, ensuring compliance with tax regulations like GST and TDS, preparing financial reports, and reconciling accounts for accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in Tally software for all company transactions.

- Process invoices, payments, receipts, and perform data entry related to purchases, sales, and expenses in Tally.

- Prepare financial statements, summaries, and reports for internal and external stakeholders, including management.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations such as GST and TDS, and internal controls.

- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable regularly to maintain balanced books and manage discrepancies.

- Support in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities as requested.

- Handle statutory filings such as GST returns, TDS, and other service tax compliance.

- Assist with audits, both internal and external, and prepare necessary documentation.

- Manage inventory, payroll, petty cash, and bank reconciliations where required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field

- Certification in Tally or demonstrable proficiency in Tally ERP software

- Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping is preferred

Core Skills

- Proficiency in Tally ERP, and working knowledge of MS Excel

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations including GST/TDS

- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and accuracy in financial record-keeping

- Problem-solving skills, organizational ability, and effective communication
