Job Summary: The Restaurant Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the restaurant's operations. This includes maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, monitoring budgets, and analyzing financial data to provide strategic insights for the management team. The Accountant will work closely with the restaurant's management team to ensure financial accuracy and provide timely financial reports to aid in decision-making.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•	Manage the restaurant's financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
•	Prepare and review financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
•	Monitor budgets and provide financial analysis to the management team to identify potential areas for improvement and cost reduction.
•	Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
•	Provide support to the management team in developing and implementing financial strategies to improve the restaurant's financial performance.
•	Ensure accurate inventory tracking and costing of food and beverage items.
•	Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate employee records and payments.
•	Provide financial guidance and support to other departments within the restaurant, such as marketing and operations.
Qualifications:
•	Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
•	Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant industry.
•	Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
•	Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•	Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•	Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
