Draughtsman

We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Draftsman to prepare accurate technical drawings and plans for civil engineering projects. The role involves close coordination with civil engineers and project teams, including site visits to take measurements and verify existing conditions to ensure construction-ready drawings.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed civil engineering drawings, layouts, and plans (roads, drainage, utilities, grading, and related works)
• Develop drawings from sketches, specifications, and instructions provided by engineers
• Conduct site visits to take measurements, verify existing conditions, and collect field data for accurate drafting
• Coordinate with site engineers and surveyors during site measurements
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes and project requirements
• Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and documentation
• Assist with quantity take-offs and basic calculations when required
• Use CAD and related software to produce high-quality technical drawings
• QualificationsDiploma or Associate Degree in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Civil Draftsman or in a similar role
• Sound understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices
• Technical SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
• Experience with Civil 3D or similar drafting software (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Knowledge of site layouts, surveying drawings, and as-built drawings
• Soft SkillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ability to manage time and meet project deadlines
• Problem-solving and proactive attitude
• Experience2–5 years of relevant drafting experience (can be adjusted based on project needs)
• Work EnvironmentOffice-based with regular site visits required to take measurements and verify on-site conditions
