Operation Theatre Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Room Setup: Preparing the theatre, arranging instruments, supplies, drapes, and ensuring equipment is functional and ready. 
• Surgical Assistance: Passing instruments and equipment to surgeons, helping with patient positioning, and maintaining the sterile field. 
• Sterilization: Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing surgical tools and ensuring all items meet strict hygiene standards. 
• Equipment Management: Setting up, checking, and adjusting complex surgical and anesthetic equipment. 
• Patient Safety: Monitoring patient status, managing hazardous waste, and ensuring adherence to infection control protocols. 
• Post-Surgery: Cleaning and restocking the operating room, disposing of waste, and preparing for the next case. 

Essential Skills

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of surgical procedures, anesthesia, and medical equipment. 
• Soft Skills: Attention to detail, ability to stay calm under pressure, teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.
