QA / QC Executive

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance:

 * Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO 9001 or other applicable standards.

 * Prepare and update quality control plans, inspection checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

 * Conduct internal quality audits and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

 * Train production staff on quality standards, best practices, and defect prevention.

Quality Control:

 * Inspect and verify incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished products against drawings and specifications.

 * Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of measuring instruments.

 * Record and report quality data, including non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) tracking.

 * Coordinate with production, purchase, and design teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Continuous Improvement:

 * Analyze quality trends and suggest improvements to reduce rejections, rework, and warranty claims.

 * Support implementation of lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives.

 * Engage in root cause analysis for recurring issues and drive process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

* Diploma / ITI / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

* 3–6 years of experience in QA/QC in a manufacturing or machine tool industry.

* Strong understanding of machining processes, GD&T, tolerances, and surface finish requirements.

* Knowledge of quality systems, ISO 9001, and documentation practices.

* Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (Vernier, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, CMM).

* Good analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.

* Proficient in MS Office and experience with ERP / QMS software (preferred).
