A.  Qualifications & Experience:
•	M Sc & B. Sc Chemistry or equivalent.
•	4-6 years’ experience conducting Quality Control Tests preferably in the chemical / Specialty Chemicals / 
        Pharma Industry.

A. Job Purpose: 
Develop, implement and improve quality management system and plans to ensure that the company’s products are fit for purpose and meet customer expectations, including regulatory requirements so as to contribute to the company’s annual business plan and long-term growth.

     Primary Tasks & Activities: 

1. Verify the Raw Materials and Finished Product
•	 Verify that all incoming raw materials are tested for specification compliance.
•	 Before production, ensure that all raw materials have been tested for compliance to standards.
•	 Ensure that all finished products are tested for compliance to requirements.

2. Preparing Formulation & Colors for printing.
•	Formulation chemistry – Preparation of formulation provided by the Sales Director, and providing feedback & suggestions on the outcome in case the formulation provided does not achieve the desired results.

3. Lab Equipment maintenance & upkeep
•	Ensuring availability of chemicals, Lab equipment for undertaking required testing.
•	Ensuring timely Maintenance & upkeep of Lab Equipment including Calibration.


4.  Strategy and Development 
•	Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
•	Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Quality activities

5. General and Task Management
•	Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance
•	Respond to customer complaints putting in containment actions, full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures
•	Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
•	Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate
•	Undertake internal and process audits of the Quality Management System (QMS)
•	Management of the Quality Engineers and Technicians in the sign-off of parts and the resolution of internal/external quality concerns
•	Report against agreed quality metrics monthly
•	Develop, implement, and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
•	Set department objectives/KPIs and review and assess the ongoing performance of direct reports

6. People Management 
•	Ensure the delivery of the People Strategy within an area of accountability
•	Review, implement, and update company records e.g., training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessments
•	Communicate KPIs from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware
•	Input and hold responsibility for Quality budgets
•	Responsible for achieving budget and forecast
•	Prepare the annual Quality budget and forecasts and all Capital Expenditure proposals as well as ensure compliance with legal standards. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects
