Quality Control Engineer (for Bolts Industry)

The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring product quality at all stages of the fastener manufacturing process. This includes in-process inspections, final inspection, testing, documentation, audits, and customer compliance. The role requires strong technical knowledge of fasteners, quality systems, and continuous improvement.

Monitor and control quality during forging, threading, heat treatment, and plating processes.

Ensure in-process and final inspections meet customer and standard requirements.

Perform and supervise testing of fasteners including tensile, proof load, hardness, dimensional checks, coating thickness, and salt spray tests.

Review and approve inspection reports, test certificates, PPAP, and FAI documents.

Prepare, update, and maintain quality manuals, SOPs, control plans, and inspection procedures.

Ensure compliance with ISO, DIN, ASTM, IS, and BS standards.

Lead internal audits and support customer and third-party audits.

Investigate customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Train, guide, and supervise quality inspectors and shop-floor quality staff.

Work closely with production, tooling, and maintenance teams to reduce rejections and improve yield.

Implement continuous improvement tools such as 7 QC tools, 5 Why analysis, Fishbone diagram, and Kaizen.
