STP Operator

Job Title: STP Operator (Sewage Treatment Plant Operator)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a responsible and skilled STP Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain the sewage treatment plant (STP) to ensure the effective treatment of wastewater. The STP Operator will handle daily plant operations, conduct routine inspections, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  Operate and monitor sewage treatment plant machinery and equipment.

  Control the treatment process to ensure proper wastewater treatment.

  Check pumps, motors, valves, blowers, filters, and other STP components regularly.

  Conduct routine water and sewage testing to ensure quality and compliance with standards.

  Record operational data, readings, and maintenance logs.

  Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on STP equipment.

  Maintain chemical levels and adjust treatments as needed.

  Identify and report faults or breakdowns immediately.

  Ensure the plant runs efficiently and safely as per environmental guidelines.

  Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective gear.

Requirements:

  ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental, or related field.

  Proven experience as an STP Operator or in water/wastewater treatment operations.

  Basic knowledge of sewage treatment processes and equipment.

  Ability to handle routine testing, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.

  Awareness of environmental and safety regulations.

Preferred:

  Experience in commercial buildings, residential complexes, hotels, or industrial plants.

  Familiarity with PLC-based STP systems is an advantage.
