Visa Counsellor – Job Description

Position Overview:

The Visa Counsellor is responsible for guiding clients through the visa application process by providing accurate information, document support, and personalized advice. The role requires a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual with strong communication skills and up-to-date knowledge of visa regulations and procedures for various countries.

• Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive counselling to clients regarding visa requirements, documentation, and procedures for study, work, or travel purposes.
• Assess clients’ eligibility for different visa categories and assist in selecting the most suitable option.
• Guide clients in preparing and organizing required documentation for submission.
• Review and verify client information and application forms to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain updated knowledge of immigration policies, embassy rules, and visa application processes.
• Coordinate with embassies, consulates, and visa centers as required.
• Follow up with clients on application status and provide timely updates.
• Maintain records of client interactions and applications in the company database.
• Achieve assigned targets for successful visa outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and promotional events as needed.
• Required Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (preferably in International Relations, Business, or a related field).
• Prior experience (1–3 years) in visa counselling, immigration, or international education is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and applications simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM tools.
• Knowledge of current visa rules for countries such as Canada, the UK, Australia, the USA, etc., is an advantage.
