Systems Server Engineer

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure Management

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtual machines, and storage systems.
• Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core infrastructure services.
• Administer virtualization platforms.
• Maintain cloud resources including compute, storage, and identity services.

2. Network Administration

• Configure and monitor routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless systems.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Ensure secure and reliable LAN/WAN operations.

3. Security & Compliance

• Implement and maintain OS patches, security updates, and system hardening.
• Manage endpoint protection, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability management tools.
• Enforce data security, access control, and compliance policies (ISO, SOC2, GDPR, etc.).

4. Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Develop and maintain backup schedules, monitoring, and restoration procedures.
• Maintain disaster recovery plans and participate in periodic DR drills.

5. Monitoring & Performance Optimization

• Monitor system logs, resource utilization, and application performance.
• Proactively diagnose issues and implement preventive maintenance.

6. Technical Support & Documentation

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for system, network, and server issues.
• Maintain complete documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
• Assist in IT project planning and execution.
