About the Role

We are looking for an HR Manager to handle end-to-end HR operations for Super Mart. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, attendance, payroll coordination, training, discipline, compliance, and employee engagement across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

Hiring & Staffing: Manpower planning, sourcing, interviews, offer rollout, joining follow-up.

Onboarding & Documentation: Collect employee documents, issue appointment letters, complete induction.

Attendance & Leave Management: Track daily attendance, late/absent control, leave approvals coordination.

Payroll Coordination: Prepare monthly payroll inputs (attendance/OT/incentives/deductions) with accounts team.

HR Operations: Maintain employee master data, HR files, shift discipline, grievance handling.

Training: Plan and coordinate staff training (customer service, billing etiquette, hygiene, SOP basics).

Discipline & Performance: Warnings, counselling, incident documentation, support store managers in control systems.

Compliance: Maintain required registers/policies as applicable (Shops & Establishments, PF/ESI if applicable).

Employee Engagement: Retention actions, feedback collection, recognition activities.

Requirements

3–6+ years HR experience (Retail/Supermarket/FMCG preferred)

Good knowledge of recruitment + HR operations + discipline handling

Comfortable working with frontline staff (billing, promoters, helpers, packers, etc.)

Good in MS Excel / Google Sheets and basic reporting

Strong communication in Tamil (English basic preferred)

Willingness to travel between branches as needed

Preferred Skills

Experience in multi-branch retail operations

Knowledge of local labour compliance and documentation

Ability to create HR trackers and simple SOPs
