Associate Manager - Operations & Maintenance

Responsibilities

CNG O&M Engineer - O5

Operational Support:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of CNG stations, ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of services.
  • Monitor the performance of equipment and systems, conducting routine inspections to identify and address any operational issues.
  • Support the implementation of operational strategies and procedures developed by the O&M Lead to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental standards during operations, reporting any deviations to the O&M Lead.
  • Provide technical support during the integration of new systems or equipment into existing CNG infrastructure.

Maintenance Execution:

  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities on CNG station equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to monitor the condition of CNG station infrastructure, identifying maintenance needs.
  • Coordinate with contractors and service providers to carry out maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, ensuring these are readily available for review.
  • Implement best practices in maintenance management, contributing to continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.

Technical Problem Solving:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues that arise during operations or maintenance activities, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Analyze system data and performance metrics to identify potential areas for improvement and to prevent future operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate with the O&M Lead to develop and implement engineering solutions that enhance the reliability and efficiency of CNG systems.
  • Participate in technical meetings and reviews, offering insights and recommendations to optimize project outcomes.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all maintenance and operational activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards, minimizing the risk of accidents or incidents.
  • Participate in safety audits and inspections, identifying potential hazards and implementing measures to mitigate risks.
  • Assist in the development of safety protocols and procedures, ensuring they are adhered to by all team members and contractors.
  • Prepare safety documentation, such as risk assessments and method statements, to support safe operations and maintenance practices.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and equipment manuals.
  • Provide regular updates to the O&M Lead on the status of ongoing maintenance activities and any issues encountered.
  • Assist in the preparation of operational and maintenance reports for senior management, highlighting key findings and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure that all documentation is organized, accessible, and complies with internal and external audit requirements.

Team Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and team members to ensure smooth execution of maintenance and operational activities.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure that project objectives and timelines are met.
  • Participate in team meetings, providing updates on engineering activities and contributing to discussions on improving operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with other departments as needed to ensure integrated and effective operations of CNG stations.

Continuous Improvement and Learning:

  • Stay informed about the latest developments in engineering practices, technologies, and industry standards relevant to CNG operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes and practices, proposing and implementing changes that enhance performance.
  • Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge, ensuring continued growth within the team.
  • Share knowledge and insights with the team, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Work Experience:

4+ years of experience in gas station construction operations and maintenance

Preferred Industry:

Experience in the gas distribution, oil and energy, or utilities sectors.
