1. Safe working Conditions :

i) Ensure safe working condition in the workplace and report unsafe conditions to the

concerned authority.

ii) Prepare & Ensure compliance of SOPs for Work Permit systems.

iii) Ensure readiness of fire fighting systems by periodic checking and testing

iv) Monitor the usages of personal protective equipment by the employees in the

premises.

v) Conduct the safety sampling department wise & monitors the unsafe conditions in a

particular department & highlighted the same to the concern persons.

vi) Monitor the first aid box in the premises for proper availability of medicines.

vii) Conduct periodic mock-drills, training programs, prepare reports and implement

action points.

viii) Prepare and maintain EHS documents as well as records.

ix) Monitor operation and maintenance of Effluent treatment plant and effluent quality.

2. Statutory Compliances / Liasioning :

i) Monitor the reports for air ambient, stack, noise, treated water etc for the parameters

set in the MPCB consent.

ii) Ensure compliance of Factory Acts requirements, such as Pressure Vessel testing

reports, Mock-drills report, On-Site-Emergency Plan etc.

iii) Investigate incidents and Dangerous Occurrence (DO) and implement corrective and

preventive measures and maintain records.

iv) Monitor the water consumption for process, cooling tower & domestic as mentioned

in the consent & prepare the cess return quarterly.

v) Ensure disposal of hazardous waste to authorized party with intimation to GPCB.

vi) Organize Medical Examination of employees and contract workers periodically in

conjunction with P&A department and maintain records (Form 7)

3. Training :

i) Impart training on Safety to new recruits, employees, contractors, contract

employees.

ii) Periodically evaluate Training Effectiveness.

Qualified candidates will have:

 BSC/BE/Diploma with Diploma in safety

 Min 5-year experience in chemical / API manufacturing/ Petrochemical/ Plastic/Rubber.
