Job Description

ROLE PURPOSE

The Legal Intern – Real Estate will work closely with senior and experienced real-estate lawyers supporting plotted development projects. The role provides end-to-end exposure to the real estate development legal lifecycle, while assisting in client query resolution, documentation, registrations, loan coordination, and compliance processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. End-to-End Real Estate Development Legal Lifecycle

• Exposure to land due diligence, approvals, sale documentation, registration, and post-registration processes.

• Support senior lawyers across pre-sales, sales, and registration stages.

2. Legal Documentation & Due Diligence Support

• Assist with Sale Deeds, Agreements to Sell, GPA, POA, Khata, RTC, EC, DC Conversion, layout approvals.

• Maintain structured and version-controlled legal files.

3. Registration Coordination & Buyer Readiness

• Coordinate registration dates with buyers, senior lawyers, SROs, admin, and finance teams.

• Ensure buyer readiness including documentation, stamp duty, and statutory timelines.

4. Loan Sanction & Financial Coordination

• Coordinate loan sanctions and disbursement readiness with admin and internal finance teams.

• Align loan sanctions and payments with registration schedules.

5. Buyer & Client Legal Query Support

• Act as first-level coordination point for buyer legal queries.

• Communicate processes clearly without providing independent legal advice.


6. Senior Lawyer & Internal Stakeholder Support

• Support senior lawyers while respecting time and confidentiality.

• Coordinate with CRM, Admin, and Finance teams.

7. Compliance, Process & Tracker Management

• Maintain trackers for approvals, registration readiness, loan sanctions, and payments.

• Flag risks and delays proactively.
