Vmc Setter

 Job Title: VMC Shift In-Charge – Setter/Operator

Department: Manufacturing

Location: Malur , Karnataka

Employment Type: Full-time, Shift-based

 Qualifications

- ITI / GTTC / 2nd PUC / SSLC

- Specialization in Fitter, Machinist, Tool & Die preferred

 Experience

- 1–2 years in R&D, Tool Room (compulsory), and VMC operations

- Hands-on experience with Vertical Machining Centers (VMC)

 Key Skills & Competencies

- Proficient in operating and setting up VMC machines

- Familiarity with CNC controls (Fagor/Mitsubishi), G-code, and M-code

- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and process sheets

- Strong understanding of machining processes and cutting tools

- Skilled in using quality inspection tools: Vernier Callipers, Micrometres, Gauges

- Good attention to detail and commitment to precision

- Knowledge of maintaining tolerances and surface finishes

- Basic CNC programming and offset adjustments

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts

 Responsibilities

- Operate and set up VMC machines as per job requirements

- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and machining parameters

- Load and unload work pieces safely and efficiently

- Conduct in-process inspections and ensure quality standards

- Perform routine maintenance and keep the machine/work area clean

- Report deviations, defects, or malfunctions to the supervisor immediately

- Adhere to safety guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
