Manufacturing Head: Locksets

The Head of Manufacturing will be responsible for end-to-end manufacturing operations for automotive locksets, zinc die casting, and plastic injection moulding. The role focuses on ensuring high productivity, quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery while implementing lean manufacturing practices and maintaining compliance with automotive industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complete manufacturing operations including assembly, zinc die casting, and plastic injection moulding.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are consistently achieved.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Monitor and improve OEE, cycle times, rejection rates, and overall plant efficiency.
• Work closely with Tool Room, Maintenance, Quality, and Product Development teams for smooth production and new product launches.
• Drive adherence to automotive quality systems such as IATF 16949, APQP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Manage production planning, manpower allocation, and shopfloor discipline.
• Control manufacturing costs through process optimization, scrap reduction, and efficient resource utilization.
• Develop and mentor plant teams to build a high-performance manufacturing culture.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• 10–15+ years of experience in automotive component manufacturing.
• Strong experience in automotive locksets, zinc die casting, and plastic injection moulding operations.
• Good understanding of automotive quality systems, lean manufacturing, and shopfloor management.
• Proven ability to lead large manufacturing teams and drive operational excellence.
