Merchandiser

Job Description:-

We are looking for a Merchandiser for our client place based at IMT Manesar, Gurgaon (Haryaana). An ideal will manages the order lifecycle from costing to shipment, acting as the crucial link between production, and quality teams, responsible for costing, material sourcing, supplier negotiation, quality control, production monitoring, buyer approvals, and ensuring on-time delivery. Key duties include preparing managing purchase orders, conducting pre-production meetings, approving samples, resolving issues, tracking production progress, coordinating inspections, and facilitating shipping documentation. 

Key Responsibilities:-

• Order Management: Create and manage Time & Action (TNA) calendars, track critical paths, and ensure order fulfillment (OTIF) from design to delivery.
• Costing & Sourcing: Prepare cost sheets, source fabrics/trims, negotiate pricing with vendors, and manage material requirements.
• Production Coordination: Coordinate with internal teams (cutting, production, quality, shipping) for smooth execution, conduct Pre-Production meetings, and approve production materials (lab dips, prints, embroidery).
• Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality standards, conduct in-line/mid-line/pre-dispatch inspections (PDI), and liaise with buyer QA.
• Buyer Communication: Serve as the main communication bridge, clarifying requirements, obtaining approvals (tech packs, samples, trims), and providing status updates.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare production files, manage purchase orders (POs), and generate reports for management and buyers.
• Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve production and sourcing issues to prevent delays. 

Required Candidates Skills:-

• Experience: Proven experience in a garment export house (e.g., 1-2+ years).
• Communication: Good verbal & written communication with buyers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills for pricing and terms.
• Technical: Understanding of garment construction, fabric knowledge, and supply chain.
• Analytical: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Software: Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and ERP systems.
