Job Description
- Key Responsibilities:Plan and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet dispatch commitments.
- Oversee complete production processes including assembly, sub-assembly, and testing of locksets.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and process parameters to achieve zero-defect output.
- Monitor and improve production efficiency, line productivity, and machine utilization (OEE).
- Manage and control manpower deployment, shift planning, and shop floor discipline.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores for smooth operations and minimal downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S).
- Ensure proper line balancing and cycle time optimization.
- Monitor rejection, rework, and scrap levels, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain production reports, MIS, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Support new product development and smooth SOP (Start of Production).
- Key Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of lockset manufacturing processes and assembly techniques
- Hands-on experience in production planning & control (PPC)
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM
- Ability to manage shop floor teams and drive productivity
- Problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
- Good coordination and communication skills

- OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)
- Rejection & rework rate
- Line efficiency & productivity
- On-time delivery (OTD)
- Downtime reduction
- Preferred Profile:Experience in automotive locksets, fuel cock, or precision assembly components
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production Engineering
- Strong leadership with hands-on shop floor experience
