🔶 Role OverviewThe Head of Operations – FMCG will be responsible for end-to-end management of manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality control, production planning, dispatch, and overall operational efficiency of Taste of Delhi’s FMCG division.

He/She will ensure smooth functioning of sweets, bakery, and namkeen manufacturing units, optimum inventory levels, timely dispatch to outlets, and strict adherence to brand quality and hygiene standards.

• 🔶 Key Responsibilities1. Production & Manufacturing ManagementOversee daily production of sweets, bakery, namkeen, snacks & packaged items.
• Ensure optimum machine utilization, manpower productivity & zero downtime.
• Maintain production schedules based on demand from outlets and modern trade.
• Implement SOPs across sweet kitchen, bakery, namkeen lines & packaging.
• 2. Supply Chain & DispatchHandle dispatch planning, routing & timely delivery to all retail outlets.
• Coordinate with dispatch supervisors, drivers, loaders & route planners.
• Monitor stock movement from factory to stores; prevent shortages and delays.
• Maintain daily dispatch logs, GRNs & outlet demand sheets.
• 3. Inventory & Warehouse ManagementMonitor raw materials, packaging materials (boxes, jars, bags), and consumables.
• Ensure FIFO, FEFO & strict stock hygiene inside warehouse and cold rooms.
• Approve purchase requisitions & maintain safety stock levels.
• Regular stock audits, shrinkage control & reconciliation.
• 4. Vendor & Procurement CoordinationIdentify and manage vendors for raw materials (maida, ghee, sugar, dry fruits).
• Ensure competitive pricing, high quality & timely supply.
• Negotiate contracts and maintain vendor performance logs.
• 5. Quality & ComplianceEnsure adherence to FSSAI standards, hygiene SOPs, batch coding, expiry management.
• Implement QA checks at each production stage.
• Maintain documentation for audits, certifications and legal compliances.
• 6. Team Leadership & TrainingLead production managers, supervisors, packers, dispatch team & warehouse staff.
• Conduct training for hygiene, safety, equipment handling & process discipline.
• Set KPIs for productivity, wastage control and dispatch accuracy.
• 7. Cost Control & EfficiencyReduce wastage in raw materials, packaging and finished goods.
• Improve cost efficiency through better planning & process optimization.
• Control overtime, manpower allocation and reduce operational bottlenecks.
• 8. Reporting & CoordinationProvide daily MIS to management on production, dispatch, raw material status.
• Coordinate with marketing, retail outlet managers & accounts team.
• Support expansion into new cities with logistics & supply chain planning.
• 🔶 Skills RequiredStrong expertise in FMCG production, supply chain & factory operations.
• Knowledge of sweets, namkeen or bakery manufacturing (preferred).
• Excellent leadership, communication & planning skills.
• Ability to handle pressure, fast-moving environment & multi-unit operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of inventory software / ERP tools.
• 🔶 Preferred BackgroundExperience in Ladoo, Barfi, Milk-based sweets, Bakery products, Namkeen, Snacks, or other FMCG food manufacturing.
• Candidates from Haldiram, Bikanervala, Om Sweets, Bansal Sweets, Gopal Sweets, Bikanerwala-style operations will be preferred.
