Job Description

Regional Sales Manager (RSM) – Animal Health / Livestock Industry

  1. Sales & Regional Target Achievement Achieve region-level monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets; drive primary and secondary sales through Area Managers, distributors, and channel partners; develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives; ensure strong market penetration, product availability, and sustainable growth across all livestock clusters in the region.
  2. Team Leadership & Performance Management (ASMs / VSOs) Recruit, train, and mentor Area Sales Managers and their teams; conduct regular review meetings and joint field visits for performance evaluation and coaching; monitor regional KPIs, productivity, and reporting discipline (DCR compliance); build a high-performance culture focused on sales growth, collections, and market expansion.
  3. Distributor & Channel Network Management Appoint, evaluate, and strengthen distributor network across the region; ensure effective stock planning, inventory control, and timely replenishment; monitor distributor ROI, credit limits, and outstanding payments; expand retailer, veterinary, and institutional coverage to enhance regional footprint.
  4. Market Development & Technical Promotion Lead regional marketing initiatives including farmer meetings, veterinary camps, product demonstrations, and promotional campaigns; drive successful new product launches and strategic marketing activities; identify new growth opportunities in dairy and livestock belts; analyze competitor activities and implement counter-strategies to safeguard market share.
  5. Collections, Compliance & Business Governance Ensure timely collections and maintain healthy credit control across the region; minimize overdue outstanding and financial risk; enforce adherence to company policies, ethical sales practices, and regulatory compliance standards; provide accurate sales forecasting, MIS reporting, and business insights to management.
