Job Description

Job Title: Sales Officer – General Trade (GT)

Location: Meerut Region (Uttar Pradesh)

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly driven Sales Officer for the Meerut region to expand and strengthen our General Trade (GT) distribution network. The role requires hardcore field sales, distributor development, and ensuring strong product placement and off-take in the market. The candidate should have strong relationships in the GT ecosystem and the ability to drive sales aggressively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and appoint new distributors and sub-distributors in the Meerut region.
  • Ensure strong market coverage and outlet penetration across GT outlets (Kirana stores, wholesalers, semi-wholesalers).
  • Drive primary and secondary sales and ensure regular off-take from distributors.
  • Ensure product placement, visibility, and availability in retail outlets.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and market expansion goals.
  • Monitor secondary sales of distributor salesmen and ensure market coverage.
  • Execute retailer schemes, trade promotions, and market activations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retailers.
  • Track competitor activities and provide market intelligence to management.
  • Ensure timely order collection, dispatch coordination, and payment follow-ups.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in hardcore GT sales in FMCG / staples / food products.
  • Strong market knowledge of Meerut and surrounding areas.
  • Proven experience in distributor appointment and market development.
  • Ability to work in field sales with daily market visits.
  • Good relationship with wholesalers and retail network preferred.
  • Self-motivated, target driven, and capable of handling sales pressure.

Compensation:

  • Salary: Up to ₹40,000 per month (based on experience)
  • Incentives: Attractive performance-linked variable incentives based on sales targets.
