Associate manager - Mechanical Structure

Responsibilities

Lead and execute the installation of heavy mechanical structures, ensuring precision and safety in assembly processes.  Oversee the assembly and installation of mechanical structures such as silos, conveyors, material handling system (MHS) equipment, and hoppers, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project timelines.  - Manage structure material handling activities, coordinating logistics and on-site movement of heavy components to optimize workflow and minimize downtime. - Prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) that include comprehensive plans, resource allocation, risk assessments, and timelines for installation projects.  - Supervise the erection, alignment, and leveling of structural components to guarantee operational integrity and compliance with engineering standards.  - Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to resolve any technical challenges and optimize construction methodologies.  - Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the installation process to ensure compliance with safety standards and structural requirements.  - Develop and implement installation protocols and standard operating procedures to enhance efficiency and safety on site.  - Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to quality standards.  - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.  - Monitor project progress and generate regular reports for senior management, highlighting milestones, challenges, and corrective actions.  - Ensure all installation activities comply with statutory regulations, environmental guidelines, and Adani’s commitment to sustainability and workplace safety.  - Participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to address any structural or installation issues encountered during operations.  - Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and innovation in line with Adani’s core values of integrity, excellence, and collaboration.

Qualifications

Education QualificationB.E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering Certification Required- Certification in Mechanical Structure Installation or Project Management (desirable) - Safety and Quality Management Certifications related to construction and heavy equipment handling (preferred) Experience8-14 years of experience in the Thermal Power industry, specifically working with large mechanical structures and installation activities.
