Assistant Sales Manager

Role & Responsibilities

1. Sales Support & Team CoordinationSupport the Sales Manager in driving agency sales targets (life, health, motor, or general insurance).

• Coordinate daily activities of Partner & Finanacial consultant
• Help with sales planning, target allocation, and follow-ups.

2. FC ManagementAssist in recruiting insurance agents or advisors.

• Support onboarding, training, and licensing of new agents.
• Motivate agents to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
• Monitor agent productivity and persistency ratios.
• 3. Sales Performance TrackingTrack daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
• Prepare MIS reports (premium collected, policies issued, conversions).
• Analyze gaps between targets and achievements and suggest improvements.
• 4. Training & Product KnowledgeConduct or support training sessions on:
• 
  
• Insurance products & riders
• Sales techniques and objection handling
• Compliance and underwriting basics
• Ensure the team understands policy features, benefits, and exclusions.
• 5. Customer Relationship SupportSupport key or high-value customers when required.
• Help resolve escalations related to policy issuance, endorsements, or claims.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
• 6. Business DevelopmentAssist in identifying new sales channels or market opportunities.
• Support corporate or group insurance tie-ups (if applicable).
• Participate in local marketing activities, events, or roadshows.
• 7. Compliance & Process AdherenceEnsure sales follow IRDAI / company compliance guidelines.
• Verify documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Support audits and internal reviews.
• 8. Reporting to Sales ManagerProvide regular updates on:

• Sales performance
• Agent activity
• Market feedback and competitor insights
