Advisor / Consultant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Internal Audit Consultant to perform detailed audits of purchase bills/invoices. The candidate will be responsible for validating invoices against supporting documents such as Purchase Orders (PO), GRN, Gate Entry, and ensuring the correctness of related accounting entries before payment processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform audits of vendor purchase bills/invoices
• Verify invoices against:
• Approved Purchase Orders (PO)
• Purchase Requisitions (PR) (where applicable)
• Gate Entry / Inward documentation
• Goods Receipt Note (GRN)
• Check accuracy of:
• Quantity & rate matching (2-way / 3-way match)
• Tax calculations (GST, etc.)
• Vendor details & compliance
• Ensure invoices comply with internal policies & approval hierarchies
• Review and validate accounting entries related to:
• Expense / Inventory booking
• Vendor liability (Accounts Payable)
• Tax input credits
• Identify discrepancies, duplicate billing, and control gaps
• Highlight audit observations and recommend corrective actions
• Coordinate with Procurement, Stores, and Accounts Payable teams

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of Purchase Bill / Invoice Audit
• Good knowledge of P2P (Procure-to-Pay) cycle
• Familiarity with:
• PR / PO process
• GRN / Goods Receipt controls
• Gate Entry / Inward controls
• Invoice verification & matching
• Understanding of Accounting Concepts & Entries
• Ability to detect:
• Billing errors
• Rate/quantity mismatches
• Duplicate invoices
• Strong analytical & documentation skills
• High attention to detail

ERP / SAP Requirement

• Candidates willing to learn SAP are encouraged
• Basic knowledge of SAP preferred
