Assistant Manager Assembly

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  1. Manpower handling and monitoring of shift in assembly area
  2. Delivering crusade requirements
  3. Meeting daily/weekly/monthly production targets
  4. Ensuring safe work environment by analysing & updating HIRA
  5. Motivating workmen for kaizens, QCs, participation in various activities
  6. Optimum resource utilization.
  7. Ensuring system documentation under TS16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements in the department
  8. Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
  9. Estimate costs and prepare budgets
  10. Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  11. Monitor production to resolve issues
  12. Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
  13. Determine number of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
  14. Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  15. Ensure output meets quality standards
  16. To monitor, improve, and sustain PQCDSM parameters of the department and by doing gap analysis with daily PDCA
  17. Deep knowledge of production management
  18. Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  19. Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concept.
  20. Experience in reporting on key production metrics.
  21. Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  22. Good knowledge of controlled documents i.e. PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, SOP, HIRA & AI to ensure timely revision with change events.

Production Planning & Execution : Ensure daily/weekly/monthly production targets are achieved. Plan manpower, machines, tools, and materials for smooth production. Monitor takt time, cycle time, and line balancing. Implement production scheduling as per customer demand and PPC.

Quality Management : Ensure zero‐defect assembly output. Drive in‑process quality controls (IPQC), Poka‑Yoke, and standard work. Monitor quality KPIs: Customer feedback, DPDI, Manufacturing RPT, Warranty issues, Splitting RPT, Yard RPT, Inhouse rework & rejection. Conduct root cause analysis using 7QC tools, PFMEA, PDCA, Kaizens
